Christmas Time

Brian and I finally got our tree 2 weekends ago. We still don't have a star for the top, and it took us forever to find time together to decorate it. We ended up having to do it at midnight one night after I got off work. Even though we were tired, It was really fun. This was the first year I've ever decorated a tree with my significant other. The last time I decorated a tree, I lived with my parents!! So it was really fun and really special for us, especially me because of that fact.

We haven't used our fireplace in our apartment since we moved in, but we thought maybe we should start because it will help on our gas bill. It's so beautiful and romantic. It's also a perfect spot to put up Akasha's ultrasound.

We took some pictures for our Christmas card, which we still haven't sent out yet, but we'll do that soon. Oh well if they're late or they don't get there until close to Christmas! I'm sure people will still enjoy them (hopefully ;)We've just been so BUSY! They turned out really cute.. here is a few

8 Months Baby!! Only 8 weeks left to go! Looking HOT!

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, I wish I could be there to celebrate it with my family, but then again, we did have Christmas in October!! I love you all!

Flood in Washington

Mom, seeing those pictures of the snow makes you not want to live here in 8 years? Well, listen to this!! Yesterday, after our 2 days of snow over the weekend and lots and lots of rain, west Olympia and many other parts of Washington flooded. Cooper Point Road and Black Lake Blvd flooded so high that 6 cars got trapped underneath the water and weren't able to get out until the water was cleared. It was absolutely mind boggling. We got a call from Brian's sister Nicole at 10 in the morning saying not to leave the house because it was crazy! She was stuck in Walgreen's at this time with the power out. Walgreen's is conveniently located at the corner of Black Lake and Cooper Point Road. I had to go to work at Applebee's, but luckily I made it, I had to go through the back roads and an 8 minute drive took me 30 minutes to get to my work. I was 15 minutes late. After I got home, Brian and I drove down to Walgreen's so we could see for ourselves the mess. It was shocking. It was flooded from Yauger Park to Black Lake (about 3/4 mile). People were on rafts and stuff. It was crazy! Unfortunately we forgot our camera, but here are some pictures from the Olympian so you can see for yourselves! http://www.theolympian.com/ (there's a video on that website, you can also look at, it's amazing!) Luckily, by the end of night they cleared it all away and everything was okay.

Snowed In

Yesterday, in Olympia, Washington it decided to snow! For those of you that know me very well, know that I HATE SNOW!! By the end of the night we had about 2 inches, Brian and I did not leave the house at all yesterday, I wasn't about to drive in the snow and Brian has been sick with what seems like the flu. I was supposed to go to work at 9:00 this morning, but I woke up at 7:30 and looked outside and it was way worse! I called my boss and told him I was too scared to drive, because we live on Tumwater Hill (and because of my accident, but lets not go there). He was totally nice about it because it's probably going to be really slow at the restaurant. Who is going to want to drive in this CRAP? I'm sure it's way worse in Utah than Olympia, but here's a few shots of what it's like today!
