7 Months... and counting

I am officially in the third trimester of my pregnancy. I had my first appointment with a "real" doctor yesterday and they did 4 different blood tests and I will get the results back next Tuesday, just in time for my appointment with my midwife. He's also not sure about the issue with my skin, but the results of the blood test may help, but who knows! I will probably have to go to the dermatologist to find out.

The other night Brian looked in the paper and saw a brand new digital camera for a really good deal!! A 6 megabyte Nixon, my old camera was a 3 megabyte Kodak, so I'm totally excited! The camera totally rocks! That same night and the night before Brian cooked me an amazing dinner. We got cut up steak from Safeway, he marinated it the night before and served it with baked potato. It was sooooo good! Of course I love any kind of meat, so I was thrilled! It was very romantic. The next night we had steak left over so we went to Top Foods and got pineapple, green peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red potatoes, and limes for kabobs! They were soooo good and again, very romantic.

After dinner, I took about 30 pictures, just of me and Brian randomly because I was sooo excited about the new camera. He was about done at picture #7.

After dinner Brian played me piano for a little bit, I just love it so much when he plays for me. He's has so many talents, and I love them all!

While Brian was playing piano, I gave him a really good compliment about the dinner he had made for me. And let me tell you what, I had to plug my nose too because it stank THAT BAD!

Tomorrow Brian and I are going to have an early Thanksgiving dinner at his mom's house so I can make it to work at 5. But I'm not opposed to work on a holiday, you get payed double time baby!! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, I love you all and I wish I could be there.

Halloween (finally;)

After we took the parents to the airport we stopped by Walmart to get a couple pumpkins. As is turns out, I didn't get a chance to carve my pumpkin. I had to work the night of Halloween and I always have so much stuff to do. I have to work every day but Saturday and on Saturday all Brian and I did was stayed at home, played games (old Mario brothers for me and Anarchy Online for Brian). It was really nice to just be able to hang out with him and not do anything. Especially after our Utah trip and then getting the house all clean having my parents come up. But Brian did carve his pumpkin on Halloween night while I was at work.

I think maybe he did a replica of himself because the pumpkin is missing the same tooth on the bottom that Brian is missing on the top!! (don't tell him I said that though) HAHAHA! :0)
On Halloween, I decided to call myself, "Dracula's pregnant bride" I did my makeup really dark and Brian helped me use fake hair color and he did it black with some purple streaks! It was really fun. People could actually tell that I was pregnant!

Visit with the Parents

My parents came up on the 26th of October. Brian and I picked them up from the airport and we drove into Seattle and went to the Zoo. It was sooo much fun. My parents and I had never seen it before, It was a really fun experience. I took a lot of pictures, I plan to show them to Akasha before she's old enough to go. We saw lots of different kinds of animals and it was a great bonding time for Brian and my parents, since they don't know him very well.

And the Tiger. We also saw Bears at the very end, but I didn't get a very good picture of them. And unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of mom and dad while at the zoo!! I'm such a idiot! I think mom probably has some on her camera though. After we got done at the zoo, we went to the Rainforest Cafe which was excellent, it is such a cool environment and it was a perfect restaurant for all of us to enjoy.

After Dinner we went shopping for a bit. Mom and I went to Motherhood Maternity while the boys went and did their own thing. Mom and I had fun, it has been a while since we've done some shopping together. After shopping we went to the Hotel and I stayed up and watched half of King Kong (which is an awful movie by the way) while everyone else went to bed.
The next morning after our delicious continental breakfast we drove back to Olympia to get Brian to work. Mom, Dad and I went to the Mayan for dinner shortly after we returned. The Mayan is definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in Washington, it was delicious and Mom and Dad enjoyed it to! Afterwards, we went grocery shopping. We figured on Sunday we would just dine in and hang out at the house. We bought lots of goodies at the store and they bought me a package of diapers!
On Sunday, we made cinnamon rolls for breakfast, chicken enchiladas for lunch (which are my favorite thing in the entire world, mom makes them) and we had a casual dinner because Brian's sister Nicole, her boyfriend Shawn and their two kids Trinity and Sebastian came over to meet and greet. It was really fun. Earlier in the day Mom, Dad and I played a whole bunch of Shrek games (checkers, go fish, scrabble etc..) and that was really fun!
The next day, we made salmon for lunch (which was delicious!) and sometime we finished watching Walk the line, I really like that movie. Shortly afterwards we drove to Tacoma and went to dinner at Joseppi's with Brian's parents and his brother Chris. The food was delicious and everybody got along really well. Definitely a sigh of relief for Brian and I!
The next day we had to drive them back to the airport, which was really hard, but I am looking forward to having my parents come up after I have the baby!! CAN'T WAIT!!

98% Perfect

After using a picture that my sister sent me in an email and putting two pictures that I took together, Brian working his magic and made this picture. It's the perfect one. The only thing I could ask for on this one was Logan smiling, but I think Brian did a fabulous job making this picture perfect.

I will be posting 2 other blogs shortly, the trip with the folks coming up and Halloween, but I haven't been able to get my pictures on a CD yet. (My camera is not high tech enough to just upload the pictures onto the computer, I have to make a CD.) And Brian and I are going to celebrate Halloween today because I had to work on Halloween. So, those should be up shortly, possibly Sunday or Monday!

Logan Trip

So, Brian and I drove down to Utah on the 18th to visit the family and to go to the memorial service of my Grandmother Wood on the 20th.

When we got there we dropped by Mom and Dads house to visit with them and my sister, but shortly after that we went to sleep. On Friday, we went to lunch at the Olive Garden, which was delicious. Brian and I went to my best friend Krissi's house and watched her son Devin for an hour while she went to a job interview. He pretty much slept the entire time and right when his Mommy came home he had a poopy diaper (good timing)! We went to dinner at the Iron Gate Grill which was scrumptious.

Afterwards, we went to Dustin and Chelece's house to practice the song we were going to sing for the memorial service. I got to hold baby Katelyn for a little bit, and the song was beautiful. The memorial service took place at the Presbyterian church. My mom, my Uncle James and my Grandpa Wood spoke. It was a beautiful service.

On Sunday, we have Christmas in October, which oddly enough was my brother's idea. On a side note, the picture above was all of the kids on "Christmas," there was 5 pictures taken on my camera and none of them were absolutely perfect! Besides Chelece looking away, this was the closest. Anyways, my Mom's theme for Christmas this year, was "S's" everything started with an "s." We had Sandwiches, strawberries, smoked ham and chicken, salad, Sunkist, sun chips, salami, "seasonal napkins" and the tablecloths, cups and plastic ware were in Sunflower yellow. She's definitely a silly lady. On Monday we just saw some friends and we drove back Tuesday. My Parents are coming down on Friday, the 26th to hang out with Brian and I! I can't wait until then!

It's a Girl!!

The ultrasound appointment went really well. The lady that did it had been doing it for 17 years!! I was totally comfortable and it was absolutely amazing watching the baby. She was moving like CRAZY! She did not want that thing touching her. The lady said that the baby is doing great, she can't see anything wrong and the heart rate was 142 which is right in between average. I have been really scared about the birth until today. After seeing the baby and feeling her move all over the place, I'm more excited than ever! I cannot wait until delivery now because I want to hold her and love her and kiss her all the time! Brian and I are throwing out the name Akasha. We believe it will be the one, as long as we find an amazing middle name to go with. After looking at the pictures, I certainly hope she's not a thumb sucker like her Mommy, she seems to be putting her hand up to her face in two of the pictures (uh-oh!) Anyways, I'm due February 10, almost 22 weeks along!

First Appointment

Today was my very first appointment at the Women Care Clinic. I actually wasn't nervous going into the center as I thought I would be (I'm sure Mom remembers my wisdom teeth, cried before I even got in the room). After I filled out paperwork for a half an hour and waited a little bit, I was called in there. The lady was so nice and made me feel really comfortable. She's the midwives nurse, but is also a Doula on the side. She doesn't do it very often but if insurance covers it or if we can afford it, I would love it if she's my Doula. She was so amazing and made me feel 100% comfortable. Brian will tell you I told you so, because he told me I would feel way more comfortable with a midwife than a regular doctor, and well he's totally right (but don't tell him I said that). They drew my blood, very first time of experiencing that and it actually wasn't even close to as bad as I thought it was going to be. I didn't watch and Brian held my hand the whole time. I also got to hear the heart beat which was totally cool because every time she would put the thingy on my belly, the baby would move really fast and I could feel it. It was awesome!! My ultrasound appointment is Tuesday, October 2. I can't wait!!
